They are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance of Traffic Foreman to oversee and manage traffic control operations on their construction sites.

Job Description: They are looking for an experienced Maintenance of Traffic Foreman to ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic around our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in traffic control and a strong understanding of relevant safety regulations and standards. This role involves coordinating with project managers, supervising traffic control crews, and ensuring compliance with all traffic management plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement traffic control plans to ensure the safety of workers and the public.

Supervise and direct traffic control crews, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.

Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices, including signs, barricades, cones, and other equipment.

Monitor and adjust traffic control setups as needed to accommodate changing project conditions and ensure minimal disruption.

Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for traffic control personnel.

Inspect traffic control setups to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and local authorities to facilitate efficient traffic flow.

Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities, equipment usage, and incident reports.

Respond promptly to any traffic-related incidents or emergencies on the construction site.

Ensure all traffic control equipment is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic control, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

In-depth knowledge of traffic control standards, regulations, and best practices (MUTCD, OSHA, etc.).

Certification in traffic control (e.g., ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor).

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret traffic control plans and blueprints.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in various weather conditions and handle physical tasks.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in safety or traffic management.

Experience with traffic control on large-scale civil construction projects.

Familiarity with project management software and tools.
