Position Overview

A dynamic and growing engineering firm in the Baltimore/ DC Metro area is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer with 10 or more years of experience in consulting engineering and project management. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their craft and eager for an environment that fosters professional growth. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in all aspects of electrical systems design and specification. They should also be comfortable consulting with architects, owners, and general contractors, have a desire to work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, work independently, participate in multiple projects simultaneously, and supervise a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce complete construction documents, including drawings, power system studies, and specifications.

Perform and supervise the execution of designs, including medium and low voltage AC, DC, single line diagrams, electrical plans, and equipment layout.

Perform and supervise the execution of both interior and exterior lighting design and calculate footcandles to ensure lighting design meets IESNA requirements.

Participate in meetings with clients and provide engineering support through design and construction phases, including responding to AHJ comments, shop drawing review, and responding to RFIs.

Review deliverables, including QA/QC through design and construction.

Serve as a technical resource to internal staff.

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of consulting Electrical Engineering experience.

Registration as a PE (required).

Department of Defense design experience is desired.

Ability to supervise and manage projects of varying sizes.

Excellent leadership, supervisory, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT.

RCDD certification is a plus

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).

Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
