Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. Amgen’s Large Molecule Discovery organization is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and collaborative Scientist/Sr. Scientist to join the Experimental Immunology Team at our Amgen British Columbia site.
This is a wet-lab focused position that involves the design and implementation of a new immunology-focused research program. The ideal candidate will have a deep foundational understanding of immunology with a background in immune ontogeny, virology, or vaccinology preferred. This position will involve the development and execution of novel experimental platforms, target identification and validation, assay development, primary cell culture and the utilization of multiple molecular biology techniques/technologies. Well-suited applicants will have broad laboratory training, deep scientific curiosity, and a positive approach to working in a team-based research environment. This individual will also have a track record of high-quality research and relevant publications, creative problem-solving and enthusiasm for tackling difficult research challenges.

Basic Qualifications:
PhD with 1+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep understanding of immunology with a relevant sub-focus.
Extensive wet-lab experience including previous experience with immune response modeling and immunophenotyping.
Experience performing standard immunology assays including ELISA, ELISpots and flow cytometry.
A proven research record with relevant publications
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Desire to be a team player in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Demonstrated scientific analysis and problem-solving skills.

The salary range for this position in Canada is $96,000 - $135,000 CAD
