Overview

In this position, you will use your software development skills to develop visualization software to understand data where proximity and location matter. Your work will help developer communities re-imagine the capabilities of location-aware software applications that enable real-world improvements.

This team supports our Federal and Capitol region customers. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate engineers that deliver capabilities that enable our customers to make a difference in communities around the world.

The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately delivery transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful.

Responsibilities

Build front-end and back-end software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, methodologies and deployment models

Solve complex problems with application design, development and user experiences

Collaborate with other developers, engineers and product managers throughout the development process

Ensure software architecture and implementation is consistent, efficient, robust and scalable

Evolve your development language skills by staying current with complementary languages, methodologies, and software design techniques

Work effectively in an Agile Scrum team environment

Requirements

2+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities

Demonstrated web development experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python

Strong foundation in object-oriented software principles

Ability to analyze software/algorithms and identify improvements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong time management, prioritization, and teamwork skills

US citizenship and willingness and ability to obtain a clearance

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related STEM field

Recommended Qualifications

Experience with React, Node.js, and Typescript

Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure

Experience with 2D and 3D data visualizations

Familiarity with ArcGIS products

Master's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related STEM field

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is

$93,600—$156,000 USD
