The Sr Manager Operations directs production operations, ensuring effective, and efficient use of facilities and staff while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

Lead and direct a team of supervisors achieve production targets while fostering a culture of safety and excellence.

Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff. Holds direct reports accountable for performance. Takes corrective action as necessary and develops top talent to grow and excel within the organization.

Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Oversee the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.

Develop and execute capacity planning strategies to meet production demands and future growth projections.

Establish systems to support/facilitate rapid new product introduction and stabilization.

Establish long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.

Foster lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce lead times, and minimize defects.

Drive operational excellence by optimizing manufacturing processes and systems, reducing waste, and improving production efficiency.

Design, develop, and execute business strategies and practices to constantly improve production capability, quality, costs, and customer service goals.

Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Manage manufacturing budgets, control costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Establish and review production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.

Maintain a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.

Represent manufacturing leadership in cross-functional teams/meetings.

Share metrics and action plans related to manufacturing performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and strategic initiatives.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles in medical device, pharma, biotechnology company; regulated environment required.

Proven track record of successfully managing large manufacturing teams and fostering leadership and technical development while driving operational improvements.

Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong leadership and people management abilities.

Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.

Excellent track record or developing high performing teams and driving talent development

Excellent bilingual verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational and managerial skills

Ability to drive long-term goals and communicate them to others

Availability to travel
