Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a motivated Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team of technical and business experts providing operational and mission support to a SI/SETA mission for a classified customer in Virginia.

The Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) serves as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) providing system security support for ongoing and future system development within the Customer organization. The SE/ISSO will work with customer Information Security to develop and implement security requirements in support of the customer’s mission.

Our unique team of technical and business disciplines provide operational support for Systems Engineering/Integration, Mission Planning, and Business Operations to multiple functional mission areas. The team is responsible for technical design, operations, and mission planning and business operations for the full life cycle of customer specific operations (from concept through development and installation/O&M).

The Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

Provide information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.

Review and interpret system vulnerability scans and work with project teams to resolve security issues.

Support the completion of Customer Security Assessment and Authority (A&A) documentation

Evaluates, develops and enhances security requirements, policy and tools.

Analyze policies and procedures against customer security regulations and provide recommendations for closing gaps and improving security deficiencies.

Resolve inconsistencies and irregularities in the submission of A&A documentation.

Work closely with Customer Security Officers to achieve ATO.

Serve as the focal POC between the project teams and the accreditation office.

Review/assess network diagrams and schematics.

**This role requires the candidate to perform duties on-site Mon-Fri.**

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

An Active/current TS/SCI with an active Polygraph.

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, or equivalent technical discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; Master's degree and 10 years of relevant experience; PhD and seven (7+) years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and experience with security evaluation tools and scans in order to determine system compliance and report results to Customer management.

Domain knowledge of customer systems, networks, and how they interconnect.

Knowledge and experience with ICD-503 accreditation.

Knowledge and experience conducting and analyzing vulnerability scan data.

Knowledge and experience performing security operational infrastructure.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in pursuit organizational goals.

Expertise in writing, and ability to brief complex technical information to non-experts.

Experience with requirements development, testing, verification, and validation of requirements.

Experience working with inter-agency partners on technical intelligence activities.

Experience with end-to-end integration and test methods including identification and mitigation of programmatic and technical risk.

Must be comfortable working in a dynamic team environment working closely with Customer Management to progress through the system accreditation process.

Desired Qualifications:

Graduate degree in an engineering, Science or other related discipline or equivalent experience.

Current CISSP, Security+, Network+ Certification.

Experience with cloud environments and designing systems to work the cloud.

System Administrator Security Course (SASC).

Experience as Data Transfer Officer (DTO).

Experience with the tools used to maintain security compliance records and status (e.g., Splunk, XACTA).

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
