Overall Mandate:

To prepare and cook products under the direction of the chef to be distributed to customers and stores.

Job Duties:

Prepare and cook food according to instructions ensuring that the quality and quantity standards are met;

Cleaning food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils;

Reading and preparing food orders;

Measuring ingredients required for specific food items being prepared;

Maintaining a high regard for Food Safety and Health and Safety standards in work areas;

Ordering and receiving supplies;

Other duties as required;

Skill Requirements:

Working in a fast paced, high volume environment;

Attention to detail;

Time management and organizational skills;

Ability to read and write in English;

Handling up to 22.6 kg (50 lbs);

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED certificate;

Relevant post- secondary education in food preparation and production would be considered an asset;

1-2 years of relevant experience;
