The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated professional with exceptional analytical and forecasting skills to join our team as Financial Analyst - Revenue/Billings/SaaS. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, experienced, and highly analytical individual. This is a highly visible role (face time with leadership), that is tasked with topline forecasting and analyzing as it relates to short/long-term revenue, billings, expected renewals, and customer retention. The opportunity reports to the Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, and will work to develop and refine the design of company-wide revenue, billings, and other top-line performance related reporting processes. You should be comfortable working cross functionally (Finance, Accounting, Sales, Sales Operations, Etc.) to help solve, and implement scale-able processes to help meet the businesses growing demands.

The role requires an execution-focused candidate who can quickly become familiar with our SaaS business and associated metrics and is able to support meaningful business decisions through in-depth analysis. The right culture fit will balance a process-oriented, analytical approach with a strategic point of view and a mentality to win.

Your day-to-day

Gather, consolidate, and analyze key operating, financial, and sales performance results – including in-depth analysis of revenue and bookings trends, expected renewals and customer retention, variance analysis and retention analysis in support of internal and external reporting

Perform data analytics on key SaaS metrics, identifying new leading indicators, and provide executive level insights

Forecast short-term and long-term revenue and billings outlook with a good understanding of accounting principles (606)

Contribute to annual and quarterly planning and forecasting processes and long-range strategic planning - Billings, Revenue, etc.

Build and maintain complex business and forecast models used to drive business insights and help support informed recommendations to management

Build dashboards to reduce redundant tasks and bring new insight about the business for management

Perform ad hoc financial analysis and prepare reports and presentations for executives and Board of Directors meetings

Improve and develop business processes to help scale a rapidly growing business

What you bring to the team

1-3 years of experience in financial analysis or comparable analytical role at a high growth public tech company - preferably SaaS software

BA/BS degree with strong academic record – preferably in Economics/Business/Finance; commensurate real-world experience in any of these areas

Knowledge of revenue accounting standards including ASC 606 a plus

Proven experience in managing large datasets, developing insights from ambiguous data and recommending team decisions

Exceptional attention to detail and sound business judgement

Superior statistical, analytical, and data modeling skills including advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, Index Matches etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports

Working knowledge of Salesforce.com, Adaptive Planning, RevPro, PowerBI and Microsoft 365 a plus

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills a must

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:Base Pay Range: 73,425.00 - 107,690.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:Base Pay Range: 57,975.00 - 85,030.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:Base Pay Range: 53,100.00 - 77,880.00 USD
