We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in Primary Care.

Primary Care Networks are partnerships between the Divisions of Family Practice representing BC’s family physicians, the regional health authorities, the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and local community partners, along with other community providers such as nurse practitioners.

All partners are working together in their local communities and collectively to redesign B.C.’s primary and community care system so that it works better for patients and health-care providers.

In accordance with established vision and values of the Northern Health Authority, the Community Care Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.

Assesses, plans, organizes, implements, provides, and evaluates nursing and other services for clients in the community setting by assessing client needs, establishing patient care plans, delivering treatment and providing support and health education as required.

Liaises with the client, caregiver, physician, health care providers and other agencies in order to arrange long-term care, nursing care, home support, or other service delivery to clients.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 08:00 to 16:00 New Wage: As of April 1, 2024 the new wage is: $41.42 - $59.52/hour Burns Lake has a population of 1,779 (2021) local residents and serves the surrounding areas of the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako estimating a population of 7,000.

Wilderness and some of BC’s largest freshwater lakes where sport fishing is a popular activity for both locals and tourists surround Burns Lake.

Qualifications Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.

Gerontology content, post basic course in wound care management or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Post basic course in wound care management and Gerontology preferred.

Valid BC Driver’s License.
