Mixer Operator (Bakery Manufacturing)

Career1 is seeking a dedicated and skilled Daytime Mixer to join our client's bakery team in Etobicoke, ON. As a Mixer, you will be responsible for preparing cake batters, mousse, and frostings. This role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare mixes for cakes, pies, fillings, mousses, and other baked products according to recipes and product specification sheets.

Ensure product quality by following precise mixing instructions.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health & Safety standards.

Move between different work stations as directed by the Supervisor/Lead Hand.

Work cooperatively with team members to maintain the production pace.

Communicate any questions, concerns, or suggestions to the Supervisor.

Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

Fluent in oral and written English.

Previous experience in bakery mixing and/or baking is required.

Knowledge of bakery equipment and recipes.

Basic computer and strong mathematical skills.

Ability to work well as part of a team.

Capable of lifting up to 19KG.

Able to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as mixing, reaching, bending, squatting, stretching, pulling, and lifting.

Comfortable working in varying temperature environments, including blast freezers.

Training in Health & Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP) is an asset.
