Senior Accountant

Growing company in the real estate industry is seeking a senior accountant.

The Senior Accountant provides accounting analysis and month end support including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and analysis of financial results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

Prepare intercompany reconcilations

Maintain chart of accounts

Perform variance analysis on certain accounts

Prepare general ledger journal entries

Identify and implement continual improvements

Book interest and accruals

Ensure that work is done in accordance with various internal control requirements and appropriate documentation is maintained

Ensure that transactions are booked in compliance with US GAAP and are complete and accurate

Education Required:

Bachelor in Accounting

CPA required (or studying towards)

Experience/Specific Knowledge

3 plus years of accounting experience - public accounting experience preferred

Fundamental understanding of accounting and financial principles

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

Ability to work independently

Dependable, flexible, organized, multitasking individual with a great work ethic and a drive to make processes more efficient
