Are you a seasoned mechanic with a knack for solving complex mechanical problems? Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where every day brings a new challenge? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Packaging Line Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This role involves maintaining and improving the performance of all types of packaging machinery in our manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining high-speed machinery, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production line.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Packaging Line Mechanic, your daily duties will include:

1. Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

2. Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

3. Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments.

4. Using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

5. Detecting faulty operations, defective material, and reporting those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

6. Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.

7. Operating a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.

8. Troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic systems, industrial motors, and conveyor systems.

9. Reading and understanding electrical and pneumatic schematics.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Packaging Line Mechanic role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment.

2. Proven experience with CMMS, Electrical Troubleshooting, Pneumatics, Mechanical Maintenance, Motors, Conveyors, and Schematics.

3. A high degree of mechanical aptitude and complete understanding of mechanical and electrical procedures.

4. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.

5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

6. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

7. A commitment to following all safety standards and procedures.

8. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work on your feet for extended periods.

9. A high school diploma or equivalent; completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be considered.
