Senior General Ledger Accountant

We invite you to join the team of 9 individuals – with great sense of humor and the best teamwork. We are a part of General Ledger department which is 3 times bigger and provide services mostly to Europe, but also partially to Canada and United States. What you will be doing:

GL department holds a critical role within the ROCKWOOL GBS. Together with your team, you will be responsible for compliant handling of the general ledger, period close and all engagements related hereto, which involves natural interaction with a broad range of both internal and external stakeholders.

More specifically, you will:

Accounting operations in RTR area (General Ledger & Subledgers) in accordance with IFRS,

Supporting in maintenance of fixed assets & FX exposure (incl. reporting),

Planning and executing of period close (incl. monitoring outbound invoicing and revenue recognition),

Complying with internal policies, SLA and external legislation,

Supporting internal and external audit,

Managing stakeholder relationships,

Identifying and implementing potential process improvements.

What you bring:

University graduate (accountancy or similar will be an asset),

At least 3-4 years of accounting experience in General Ledger department,

Solid accounting knowledge,

English – advanced level,

SAP knowledge is a must,

Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Outlook,

Analytical and problem solving skills,

Customer-oriented and proactive approach,

Strong team player.
