Villa Crop Protection (Pty) Ltd has a vacancy for a Regulatory Specialist . The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of trials and associated data as well as submitting complete and accurate dossiers to the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRD). Preparing and submitting regulatory dossiers to obtain and maintain registrations according to plan.

Assist with product renewal applications, obtaining import permits, source compliance, updating SDSs and minor label amendments and formulation changes.

Preparing and maintenance of supporting documentation (e.g.

SDSs, apostilled certificates) for assigned products.

Management of regulatory databases and filing of registration documents and all relevant regulatory data according to internal systems and processes.

Providing support to maintain source compliance.

Communicating and maintaining professional relationships with authorities and other stakeholders.

Contributing, as a member of the regulatory team, to the effective communication with technical support, marketing, and sales, especially through active participation in various portfolio related meetings and occasionally in focussed campaigns.

Providing expert regulatory advice to Product Portfolio Leads.

Keeping informed and updated with all guidelines set by Act 36 of 1947 and global trends.

Minimum BSc degree in agronomy, plant pathology, entomology, chemistry, soil science or a closely aligned field, but a higher qualification is preferred.

CropLife SA Basic Crop Protection Course certification.

Registration with SACNASP would be preferrable.

Well-developed people skills.

A proven track record in establishing good stakeholder relationships with official bodies [Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRD)] and all other stakeholders.

Thorough knowledge of the trial and dossier submission process and experience in registration concepts and procedures in the South African crop protection industry, according to Act 36 of 1947.

Thorough knowledge of the Global Harmonised System (GHS). Excellent organisational skills (time, people, and activities). Ability to reprioritise regularly and quickly respond to internal and external customers.

Eye for detail to ensure accuracy, continuity, and completeness of all information.

Well-developed computer literacy and skills (MS Office and ARM preferred); and ability to adapt to new platforms.

Bilingual - preferable.
