Automation Technician

Our client, in the Manufacturing industry, requires the services of an Automation Technician.

Key performance areas: Technical support primarily DF products, but scope of work will also include support on the entire basket of products available Development of Auto Cad drawings & design Assist in the undertaking of technical projects & Beta Sites as and when needed Assist with Assembly : Automation irrigation dosing units; Controllers in cabinets with protection devices; Radio units; Testing software / hardware and Wiring of cabinets and panels Troubleshooting controller hardware / software Providing telephonic and online support to dealers and end users Training of dealers and end users on correct usage of automation equipment Where required assist with the servicing of filter banks and back flush controllers The successful candidate must have: Matric with a tertiary qualification in Engineering / Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronics 3 5 years experience in a similar role A valid drivers license Knowledge of ELV electrical systems, VSD / PLC and Hydraulics / Flow Dynamics Working knowledge of computer hardware systems Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor drawings Must be willing to travel throughout SA as well as surrounding countries Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted.
