Overview
The MBBS IDCCM position plays a crucial role in providing specialized medical care to critically ill patients. The individual in this role is responsible for overseeing and managing the care of patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and must have a solid understanding of critical care procedures and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnosing and treating critically ill patients in the ICU
Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
Performing emergency medical procedures as needed
Assessing and managing pain for ICU patients
Participating in rounds and consultations
Providing education and support to patients and their families
Adhering to all relevant medical and ethical standards
Documenting patient care and treatment plans accurately
Staying updated with the latest advancements in critical care medicine
Required Qualifications
MBBS degree from an accredited institution
Completion of IDCCM course
Valid medical license
Proven experience in critical care medicine
Strong knowledge of advanced life support techniques
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
