Job Description

A Facilities Coordinator is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance around the building and property. This role is also responsible for maintaining the landscape and grounds of the property while also performing routine maintenance and detailing equipment and vehicles.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Director of Facilities should represent a growing personal relationship with Christ. The Assistant Director of Facilities models a strong relationship with his or her spouse (if married) and children (if applicable).

The Assistant Director of Facilities strives to fulfill his or her purpose in life and ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships, and actions.

Commitment to all discipleship expectations of staff members at Community of Hope.

Assist in monitoring ongoing Preventative and Deferred Maintenance programs for all major mechanical and electrical systems of the assigned campus as well as for grounds, buildings, and other areas as required. This includes wall repair, painting, HVAC maintenance, cleaning, and daily custodial support such as replacing soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.

Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.

Participating in the Sunday Facilities Team Member Rotation.

Perform other related assignments given by the Director of Facilities.

Landscaping and Grounds Keeping: Weekly and bi-weekly lawn maintenance with the ability to use heavy machinery to perform these tasks.

Lawn Maintenance: Operate lawn equipment to perform grass trimming, lawn edging, and weed maintenance.

Tree and Shrubbery Trimming: Operate machinery to trim trees, hedges, and bushes.

Irrigation System Maintenance: Monitoring system for preventative maintenance and replacing parts as needed.

Outdoor Building Maintenance: Pressure washing sidewalk, building, and roof.\

Ministry Support: Monitor the schedule and needs of large and small groups to provide set up and clean up. Support the ministry with Food Pantry setup, first impressions support, event setup, and overall support of staff with additional needs while onsite.

Large Group Set Up: Review the planning system and communicate with the group leader to provide proper set up of tables, chairs, etc.

Small Group Set Up: Review planning system to provide proper set up in the correct rooms as scheduled. Monitor the schedule of these groups to provide a stable environment for members to attend their small groups. If onsite, be available to support with additional needs.

Event Support: Work with event coordinator to assist with set up and provide support as needed.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE:

No formal education required

Experience in grounds and maintenance preferred.
