The Uftring Auto Group consists of eleven automotive franchises at six car dealerships in Peoria, East Peoria, Washington and North Pekin, Illinois. Responsibilities
Perform multi point safety inspections and examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or maintenance work is required
Note additional work needed and provide cost estimate
Perform routine maintenance and PDIs
Perform simple manufacturers updates, including recalls
Perform repairs as directed
Assist Lube and Service Technicians in the shop as directed
Document all work performed
Road test vehicles to quality check work performed
Keep Service vehicle neat, clean, and stocked
Understand and follow Federal, State, and Local regulations
Attend training, shop meetings, and continue education provided by the manufacturers to improve competence level
Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
Maintain CSI level established by manufacturer and dealership standards
Qualifications
Technician Background at an auto manufacturer
Must have knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance, including warranty guidelines
Excellent customer interaction skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Ability to operate power tools, hand tools and other equipment
Able to work independently
Desire to work, learn, and deliver customer satisfaction every time
Above average computer skills
Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Hours
Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
