Software Engineer

Job Description

Summary: Seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in Java and LINUX environments for a new project within the defense sector.

Job Requirements:

Strong Java programming skills

Experience with Java Messaging Service (JMS)

Proficiency in LINUX, including command line and scripting tools

Object Oriented Analysis and Design skills

Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments such as Eclipse or IntelliJ

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of Javascript and HTML

Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

Proficiency in unit test frameworks like Junit, GTest, or JTest

Familiarity with load testing tools and software design patterns

Practical experience using MagicDraw

Experience with automated build systems such as Maven or Bamboo

Interest or background in Aviation and Defense systems

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, simulating, and providing technical support for software within the defense industry. The role includes working on new projects requiring strong analytical skills to create robust software solutions.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in computer science, software engineering or related discipline is required.

A minimum of 8 years of related experience is mandatory for consideration.

Additional Notes:

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement subject to manager approval. Candidates must be US Citizens due to ITAR work regulations. Security clearance may be required.

Pay: 40-60

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
