Job Description
Primary Function:
With limited supervision from a Project Engineer, this person prepares lay-outs and sketches, makes calculations, selects or approves materials, material finishes, and manufacturing techniques, for major portions or equipment orders
Prepares Engineering drawings and BOM's in accordance with established company policies and procedures
Secondary Function:
May deal with vendors and by special request, or as directed by a Supervisor, may involve in customer contact and field service, and may involve some short-term travel
Checks drawings and BOM's prepared by others. Instructs or assists in the training of less experienced personnel
May be assigned to other Engineering tasks
Must be computer literate, and able to function in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely
Must be able to work with all levels of production and management
Department:

Education and/or Experience:
A college degree in Engineering or a scientific field, or equivalent.

Working Procedure:
Perform all phases of Primary and Secondary Functions

Accuracy where probable errors may be serious resulting in internal losses such as production, material, equipment

Engineering Manager, Project Engineer, Sales, and Service, and Lab Supervision
Access to Confidential Data:
Company Plans, designs, development programs, etc.
Judgement:
Decisions are required, must analyze facts and determine action using a wide range of procedures but within limits of standard practices
Environment:
Will work primarily in an office environment but must occasionally work in an industrial environment that may at times be hot, cold, dirty, and loud
