CAT Scan Technician

Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Bergen County, has an immediate need for experienced CAT Scan Technician to join their growing team in Englewood.

Our candidate choice will have their New Jersey Radiology License, ARRT Registry, and CT certification - IV Certification a plus Experienced.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides patient services using the CT imaging modality.

Prepare patients for CT examinations and procedures. Explain procedures, transfers patient to table, position patient and assist patient at the end of procedure

Ensure patients are as comfortable as possible during exam and while waiting for transport before and after exam by providing blankets, sheets, pillows, etc

Performs CT scans at a technical level.

Operate scanning and display consoles

Select appropriate MA, KV, scan time, window and level to produce quality CT scan

Prepare tray and contract media for CT procedures using sterile techniques when necessary

Assist radiologist/physicians w procedures

Maintain necessary supplies in the CT room

Use lead shields for patients to provide radiation protection

Use McKesson PACs to charge and complete cases

Demonstrates service excellence in all interactions by exemplifying Standard Excellence standards.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology

Should have a minimum of one year experience as a Radiologic Technologist

Must be ARPT certified and hold current NJ State License
