Civil 3D Design Technician

Job Description

Civil 3D Designer - Responsible for utilizing Civil 3D software to design and analyze pipe networks, drainage systems, pressure pipe networks, and terrain modeling.

Job Requirements:

Associates degree or 2-year technical degree, or a minimum of 3 years of related experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Experience with civil engineering projects involving paving, grading, water distribution, wastewater collection, and earthwork design and calculations.

Job Responsibilities:

Utilize Civil 3D software to create pipe networks, profiles, and drainage designs.

Perform analysis of drainage systems and pressure pipe networks.

Generate surfaces and compute earthwork volumes using Civil 3D terrain modeling.

Prepare design drawings and supporting technical data for the project.

Ensure compliance with regulatory codes and standards in design dimensions, material quantities, and specifications.

Utilize 2D and 3D CAD skills and engineering tools to produce design deliverables, including drawings and material take-offs.

Communicate work status and information needs with the project team.

Identify and address technical inconsistencies and contract scope changes.

Demonstrate good analytical capabilities and proficiency in drafting, calculations, and file management using given standards.

Preferred Skills:

Strong proficiency in using Civil 3D software for civil engineering design.

Familiarity with paving, grading, water distribution, wastewater collection, and earthwork design.

Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in civil engineering design.
