Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at a prestigious school in Manassas, VA. As a School Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic and functional goals by providing specialized therapy services.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and collaborate with teachers and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the students' educational plans.

Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, including therapeutic activities, exercises, and interventions aimed at improving fine motor skills, visual perception, handwriting, and daily living skills.

Monitor students' progress, document therapy sessions, and maintain accurate records of treatment plans, progress reports, and other required documentation.

Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other team members to provide recommendations and strategies for optimizing students' functional performance in the classroom and other school settings.

Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.

Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and best practices in school-based occupational therapy to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Current license to practice occupational therapy in the state of Virginia.

Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
