Senior Systems Engineer Description

Our client in the IT and Managed Services industry is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to add to their growing team. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical escalation point, responsible for resolving complex issues and maintaining system operation and functionality for a diverse set of clients. Additionally, you will lead a small team of support staff, delegating tasks and ensuring their successful completion. You will be tasked with recommending cutting-edge hardware and software and developing systems management and communication strategies to optimize performance. Senior Systems Engineer Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting

• Act as an escalation point for L2/L3 issues

• Ensure quick and effective resolution for end users

• Assist in designing and building client/server networks

• Perform client/server architecture assessments

• Support the development of systems engineering processes

• Manage and maintain stakeholder needs

• Train and mentor junior administrators

• Install and configure hardware and software components

• Contribute to best practices and process optimization

Senior Systems Engineer Qualifications

• 3+ years of systems engineering (not admin) experience required

• Exchange Online (MS Teams, SharePoint, One Drive) experience required

• Knowledge of Hyper-V and VMware technologies required

• Client-facing experience required

• Proven track record of handling multiple projects required
