RF Lab Technician

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Perform calibrations, adjustments, and basic repairs.

Generate calibration reports, characterization reports, and certificates of conformance.

Set up software to run test and calibration sequences in accordance with IEC, ISO, and CISPR standards.

Ensure equipment is properly documented, accessorized, and ready for shipment.

Support system orders with multiple pieces of equipment.

Identify missing accessories and ensure they are replaced.

Evaluate/ repair equipment for used purchases, rental pool, and customers.

Support customers and staff with EMC applications.

Develop calibration procedures and templates when needed.

Facilitate outsourced calibrations/ repairs.

Possible on-site visits to customers within North America may needed depending on circumstances.

Requirements:

Minimum four years experience in test equipment calibration and repair.

Proficiency in using RF test equipment including Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum analyzers, amplifiers, LISN's CDN's Field probes, and RF current probes.

Characterization on antennas.

Experience with RF chambers and enclosures.

Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), internet research, data entry, Google Drive, etc.

Familiarity with EMC test standards.

Working knowledge of ISO/ IEC 17025 and ANSI/ NCSL Z540-1 requirements.

Experience in interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner and providing an excellent customer service experience.

Ability to troubleshoot with minimal or no documentation.

Good communication skills - working with manufacturing technicians.
