Senior Tax Accountant

Experienced accountant needed approximately 20 - 40 hours per week to work with Morningside-based CPA firm in Intown-Atlanta. Our growing practice consists of approximately 30 accounting clients and 250 tax clients. You will be responsible for preparation of individual and business tax returns, not-for-profit returns and trust returns.

This is a work from home position and the workday hours are flexible. Workload will be lighter October 16 through February 15. Work is managed through Todoist and you'll meet by video conference at least weekly with the firm principal to prioritize tasks and discuss work in progress.

Responsibilities:

Prepare tax returns for individuals, businesses and not-for profit entities using CCH Axcess Tax

Interface with clients to obtain needed data

Identify tax saving opportunities for clients

Qualifications:

At least five years of tax preparation experience.

CPA or EA preferred and prior experience working in a CPA firm is required.

At least three years experience with Quickbooks Online and proficiency in Excel is required

Detail and deadline-oriented

Ability to work independently and self-motivated

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

At least three references with one being a CPA you've previously worked with
