Overview:

The Quality Control Specialist – QC manages quality program planning, quality program evaluation, identifying and resolved quality issues, and providing technical advisory services.

Primary Responsibilities:

Evaluates systems and work processes

Analyzes data

Establishes control procedures

Use DSS OR WMS, and other Government Data Systems, as well as Quality control software

Validates processes that are performed IAW DLA Distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Audits Readiness Internal Controls

Supervisory Responsibilities:

N/A

Education and/or Experience:

3+ Years of Quality Control experience

Experience with Corrective Action Plans (CAP)

Government contracting experience is preferred

Operating and working in warehouse setting is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of Material Hazard and Bio-Hazard Communication (MSDS)

Knowledge of the Material Receiving / Handling sections of ISO 9000

Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software.

Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team

Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision

Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.

Security Clearance:

Position requires U.S. Citizenship, and to pass a US Government background check.
