Summary

Under the close direction of a supervisor, the Level I Inspector is responsible for performing and documenting the results of inspections or tests that are required to be performed in accordance with documented procedures, acceptance standards, and/or industry practices as defined by contract documents.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Level I Inspector will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.

Assists with Implementation of Inspection Plans

Ensures a Safe Work Environment

Participates in Training/Certifications

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, scientific, or construction related discipline from an accredited college or university; or High School Diploma and 4 years related experience.

Knowledge of construction practices (i.e., formwork, rebar, concrete placing, etc.)

Ability to locate, read and interpret applicable quality codes and standards.

Those working outside of the St. George, Utah area may be eligible for Baker's travel incentive program.
