The Gaming Operations Manager is responsible for maximizing the guest experience on the gaming floor by ensuring exceptional guest service through strategic planning, tactical execution, and successful operation of all gaming devices at Ellis Park Racing and Gaming. This position will lead Gaming Operations team members through coaching and development, ensuring a superior guest experience.

Some details of what you will do:

Lead Gaming Operations team members through coaching, training, and performance management.

Analyze performance reports of gaming devices, ensuring continuous maintenance of gaming devices, facilitating gaming device projects such as installs, conversions, machine moves, and software upgrades, and managing associated gaming equipment.

Partner with corporate Gaming Operations on gaming devices and products.

Meet departmental financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.

Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information related to all gaming device information, including policies, procedures, revenue, budgets, and any other information deemed confidential or proprietary by the company

Adhere to and ensure team members comply with Ellis Entertainment policy and procedures, Gaming Operations procedures, internal controls, Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC) rules and regulations, and federal and state regulations.

Build positive relationships with Ellis Park team members and guests by providing exceptional customer service and fostering a collaborative work environment for all team members.

What you need:

Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.)

Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software preferred.

Proficiency in OASIS 360 Gaming Device Tracking System preferred.

Extensive knowledge of the mechanical and play functions of gaming device machines.

Basic understanding of network concepts.

Experience with gaming device systems and platforms.

Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of relevant management experience is required.

General knowledge of gaming regulations and practices, including Cage and Players Club.
