We are looking for an Systems Engineer to join our Global Technical Services team in Bangalore, India. The position reports to the Manager of Global Technical Services.

This is the job

As a Global Technical Services team member, you will be involved in receiving, qualifying, and resolving issues raised by our global customer base, working closely with the Cloud operations & Support department in Bangalore.

More specifically, you will:

Participating in daily problem solving on reported customer issues. Ensure a high degree of customer focus in all the defined activities.

Provide a high level of service to our customers, adhering to our SLAs for response and resolution times, in line with Stibo Support guidelines.

Able to drive to a resolution of low to medium complexity issues.

Able to analyze the incident's business impact and communicate to the affected users and minimize the disruption.

Working closely with other support regions in Global Support – Denmark and the US.

Technologies include

Knowledge about JAVA and/or maintaining JAVA based applications.

Experience in SaaS / Cloud technologies, several of the following areas: Storage, Networking, Database management, Cassandra, Kubernetes, Docker, and Change Management.

AWS or Azure certifications are a plus.

Who are we searching for

We are on the look out for a candidate with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service skills, strong technical and analytical, and problem-solving skills. Highly proactive, with a sense of urgency and attention to details. Flexibility in terms of shift work due to the 24x7 nature of work.

Moreover, you should have:

5-7 years of experience working within a 24x7 Support & Services organization.

Comprehensive OS skills – this means practical skillset and some theoretical knowledge about how different OS’s work. Supported OS for STEP is Windows and Red Hat Linux 7 +. Mac is also used for parts of STEP. RHCE certified is a plus.

One or more years of experience with supporting Servers hosted on any of the major Cloud vendors –Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Knowledge about Oracle Databases – preferably Administration knowledge about Oracle Databases, maintenance and backups.
