The Metro Transit Police Department is hiring Police Officers and Lateral Police Officers. Both are eligible for hiring bonuses!

2024 Pay Rates: $37.81 - $50.41 hourly / $78,645 - $104,853 annually.

As a Sworn Metro Transit Police Officer, you will protect employees and passengers and safeguard property and equipment of Metro Transit across all municipalities of our eight county Metro-wide system. You will patrol assigned areas in a squad car, on foot, or onboard public transit and perform visual inspections and recognize, respond, investigate, and enforce violations of laws and ordinances.

To be eligible you must have:

• Associate degree in Law Enforcement from an accredited College AND must currently be MN Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) licensed or eligible to be POST licensed as a full-time peace officer in the State of Minnesota by the time of conditional offer.

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
