This role is a Hybrid/Remote position for candidates within a commutable distance of our Irvine location. This role is a Contract 1099 position. This role is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.

What you'll be doing:

Develop, deploy, and maintain Google Cloud solutions and services that meet business requirements

Design and implement secure, scalable, and robust cloud applications utilizing Google Cloud Platform services

Work closely with other developers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication across all stages of the development cycle

Conduct code reviews, debug, and troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously improve code performance, quality, and reliability

Develop and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using DevOps methodologies

Monitor and optimize the performance and cost of Google Cloud Platform applications and services

Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and apply them as necessary to solve business problems

Provide technical guidance and direction to the IT department amongst projects.

Research and stay up to date with industry technology trends in regard to automation and implementation of AI and streamlined methodologies.

Contribute to evolving best practices for frameworks, security, compliance, data model, logic, and more for multiple custom applications.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills and knowledge of Google Cloud technologies, with proven experience in coding, application design, and deployment on a large scale

The candidate will also have a good understanding of software design principles and be familiar with DevOps methodologies

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field

7+ years of hands-on experience in building, deploying, and maintaining Google Cloud Platform solutions and services

Ability to advocate for innovation and digital transformation technologies such as AI, ML, IoT and more

Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, custom browser extensions and QTP.

Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, Go)

Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architecture, and security best practices

Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes, and Cloud Functions

Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Terraform, and Ansible

Knowledge of API, REST, microservices and serverless architectures

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to create and maintain relationships with current and potential customers

Certifications in AWS and/or Google.

Hands-on experience working within an Information Security accredited framework e.g. ISO27001, 27017/18.
