Tax Manager - CPA Concord, CA $100-150k

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax documents, including but not limited to returns, extensions, and quarterly payments.
Lead and motivate a team of dedicated staff members.
Train new and current staff on office policies, procedures, and updates to tax laws.
Research and recommend tax strategies based on federal, state, and local taxation issues.
Coordinate and assess the performance of accounting staff.
Provide support to clients by answering tax-related inquiries and scheduling appointments.
Promote our services and expand our client base to contribute to business growth.
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
Represent clients during IRS, state, or other audits.
Prepare various forms, including sales tax, assessor forms, power of attorney forms, and other required tax forms.
Collaborate closely with the tax department staff to facilitate tax planning, client interaction, and special projects.
Resolve tax and accounting issues for clients through thorough research and analysis.
Must Have Qualifications
Current Certified Public Accountant License
4+ years experience with preparation of individual AND business tax forms
Experience managing multiple Tax preparers before and have the ability/experience to sign off on returns
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements for individual and business tax filings
Ability to work fully On-Site during tax season
Desired, Not Required
Experience with Lacerte, Ultra Tax, or Drake Software
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
