Delivery Driver

Vomela Commercial is seeking a Delivery Driver to deliver our printed materials throughout the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. Company van provided, CDL is not required. Must have a clean driving record and knowledge of the DC/MD/VA area.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepares van for daily deliveries: locates products in delivery area and storage area; certifies work and locations by matching delivery tickets to jobs; records all deliveries and pock-ups using a trip log; prepares deliveries using shrink wrap and/or banding equipment; loads deliveries into can according to delivery schedules and location using forklift, hand truck or by hand as appropriate; checks lights, tires, oil, and cleanliness of van to comply with company standards

• Delivers and/or receives work, using van and obtain signatures from clients for deliveries

• Updates records and fuel logs

• Unloads received materials from van and deliver to the appropriate department

• Assists others by loading trucks and/or vans and moving materials throughout the plant

• Receives additional pick-ups from Delivery Coordinator via two-way radio

• Provides excellent customer service

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• 2-4 years’ experience in a driving position

• Valid Driver’s License (with a clean driving record) and ability to operate a forklift

• Knowledge of the Metro area

• Ability to lift up to 20 lb.

• Ability to withstand a lot of walking

• Must be able to endure heavy lifting (loading and unloading van)

• Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude

• Excellent organization and attention to detail

• Able to multi-task and prioritize

• Excellent Customer Service skills

Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm
