Motorsports Operations Manager

WHAT YOU'LL DO

A Motorsports Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a motorsports team or organization. Their responsibilities involve managing various aspects of the team's activities such as personnel, coordinating events, ensuring safety and compliance and maintaining overall functionality and efficiency of Summit Point Motorsports Park.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Event Planning and Execution:

Plan and coordinate motorsports events, including races, exhibitions, and other activities hosted at the Park.

Collaborate with event organizers, sponsors, and team to ensure successful and seamless execution. Facility Maintenance:

Oversee routine maintenance and repairs to the venues infrastructure, including the track, stands, facilities and parking areas.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any issues promptly. Regulatory Compliance:

Stay updated on motorsports regulations, rules, and safety standards.

Ensure the team complies with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.

Handle administrative tasks related to licensing, permits, and registrations.Budget Management:

Develop and manage budgets for the venue operations, events, and maintenance activities.

Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible. Staff Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise support staff, including mechanics, engineers, and logistics personnel.

Develop and implement staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all events. Vendor and Supplier Relations:

Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services. Safety and Compliance:

Implement safety protocols and risk management measures during practices and races.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to motorsports venue operations. Customer Experience:

Focus on enhancing the overall experience for spectators, teams, and other stakeholders.

Gather feedback and implement improvements to optimize the customer experience. Communication and Coordination:

Serve as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including race organizers, teams, sponsors and local authorities.

Coordinate with emergency services, law enforcement, and medical personnel to ensure a coordinated response during events. Technology Integration:

Stay abreast of technological advancements relevant to motorsports venue operations.

Implement technology solutions to enhance efficiency, security, and the overall spectator experience Environmental Sustainability:

Implement eco-friendly practices and initiatives to promote environmental sustainability within the venue operations. Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Extensive experience in motorsports, including previous roles in team management or operations.

In-depth knowledge of motorsports regulations and safety standards.

Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work well under pressure

Willingness to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends.

Excellent communication skills with a high level of professionalism and business acumen

Must be able to pass a pre employment background and drug screening.
