Must have payroll experience to be considered.

Must be detail-oriented and have excellent computer skills.

Human Resources experience is a plus.

SCHEDULE:

First shift. 20 - 25 hours per week. Office open Monday through Thursday. Must work a full 10-hour day on Monday and/or the day of a payroll processing deadline. The remainder of the schedule is open to flexibility after being completely trained.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain employee master payroll files for weekly and monthly pays

· Process weekly and monthly payrolls in an accurate and timely manner by recording and entering changes affecting net wages

including but not limited to hours worked, PTO, leave of absences, tax exemptions, employee benefit deductions/contributions, 401K

elections, H.S.A., direct deposit setup, and other payroll deductions/reimbursements for each employee

· Retrieve messages from the employee call-in line and email to call in list twice daily

· Verify the accuracy of changes against payroll journal and control reports and totals.

· Reconcile various payroll accounts

· Prepare pay adjustments, enter data into the payroll system, audit and finalize payroll totals, and submit to be processed by payroll

vendor

· Track and approve Temp employee hours with each agency

· Process Temp invoices for payment

· Maintain personnel files; including medical and 401K

· Create personnel files and set up new hires in the following systems; Time and Attendance, HR/Payroll, Performance, Visual, and Key

Fob

· Prepare and process employee termination forms such as Employee Term Form, COBRA letter, and benefits communications

· Terminate employees in the payroll system timely

· Manage Key Fob system; activating and deactivating

· Perform filing on a timely basis for audit purposes

· Comply with court orders for withholdings for child support, garnishments, IRS levies, etc.

· Respond to all employee inquiries regarding their pay, pay policies, and PTO on a timely basis

· Administer the safety shoe and safety glass employee reimbursement program, tracking who is eligible

· Reconcile benefit invoices for payment

· Track and report employee incidents to Supervisors on a monthly basis for compliance with the attendance policy

· Generate weekly and monthly payroll reports for accounting

· Assist the Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Generalist with projects

· Assist Human Resources with employee events such as Company Meetings, Lunch w/Leadership, Company Picnic, etc.

· Provide occasional coverage for the Receptionist's Desk

· Maintain employee change forms such as Tax Withholding, direct deposit change, benefit changes, etc.

· Respond to employment verifications

· Create various reports upon request

· Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

· Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions

· Utilize and abide by all applicable Quality Standards and OSHA requirements and safety procedures

· Perform all required checks and complete documentation accurately

· Perform general housekeeping functions

· Perform all other work assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of multiple Human Resource disciplines

Excellent Knowledge of Wage & Hour and IRS pay requirements

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows environment

Ability to interact and communicate with internal and external customers at all organizational levels

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Must be highly professional, organized and service-oriented

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum 2 years related experience or training or a combination of both

· High School Diploma or GED preferred

· Accounting Degree a plus but not required
