Summary: VES is looking for a Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join our team. The ideal candidate could be based in India or USA. We are also open for the position to be based in any of our geographical locations.

The primary purpose of a Chief Information Officer (CIO) with global responsibilities is to lead and oversee the organization's overall technology strategy and operations on an international scale. The CIO plays a crucial role in aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, driving innovation, and ensuring the effective use of technology to enhance global business processes. They are responsible for managing IT teams, infrastructure, and systems across different regions, fostering collaboration, and addressing the specific technology needs of diverse business units. The CIO will lead a diverse team, collaborate with other business units, and make strategic decisions related to technology investments, cybersecurity, data management, and IT infrastructure.

Additionally, the CIO focuses on data security, compliance with global regulations, strategic vendor management, and plays a key role in digital transformation efforts to keep the organization competitive in a rapidly evolving global landscape. The CIO plays a crucial role in shaping the organization's digital transformation, addressing technological challenges, and leveraging IT as a strategic enabler for business success on a global level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Global Technology Strategy:

Develop and execute a comprehensive global technology strategy aligned with the company's business objectives, emphasizing IT and SAP solutions.

Drive innovation, digital transformation, and ensure the effective use of technology to enhance business processes and outcomes.

Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead and inspire a global team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, executive leadership, and local business units to understand and address specific technology needs.

Global IT Operations:

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure, systems, and networks to support global operations.

Ensure high levels of system availability, performance, and security across all regions.

Provide SAP Expertise:

Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in SAP solutions, leveraging technology to optimize business processes globally.

Oversees and delivers Data Security and Compliance:

Implement and maintain robust data security measures, ensuring compliance with global data protection regulations.

Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to mitigate cybersecurity risks.

International Experience:

Leverage 10-15 years of IT leadership experience, including a successful track record of working in the United States or familiar with working with US head office.

Familiarity with the Indian business landscape

Demonstrate adaptability and cultural competence in collaborating with local nationals.

Experience in India: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Indian business landscape and regulatory environment.

Strategic Leadership

Lead and Manage relationships with key technology vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Work closely with the executive team to align IT strategies with overall business objectives.

Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support long-term IT & SAP planning and growth initiatives.

Risk Management:

Assess and mitigate risks through proactive analysis and risk management strategies.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Team Leadership:

Build and lead a high-performing IT & SAP team.

Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Advanced degree preferred.

Proven experience (10 - 15 years) in IT Leadership role, with focus on global responsibilities.

Track record of successfully leading and implementing business transformation initiatives.

Proven experience working with SAP solutions.

Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Familiarity with both India and US business environment.
