POSITION SUMMARY

As part of our team, Ekso’s Materials Production Planner will be responsible for leading the company’s materials, production, and inventory functions. This position will need to take ownership of production to meet quarterly targets, manage materials planning, and ensure inventory accuracy. This position will report to the Senior Director of Operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Materials and Production:

· Take ownership of the company’s materials and production planning and ensure quality products are produced to meet customer demands.

· Develop WIs to document production and inventory processes.

· Establishment of production KPI's with reporting of those on a regular basis.

· Perform all inventory transactions and audit it for accuracy.

· Understand procedures for non-conforming parts; assist in the maintenance of the MRB area.

· Publish data reports determined by management (i.e. aging, WIP reconciliation, and transaction reports).

· Assist in the development of new procedures to improve warehouse operations.

Inventory:

· Act as a materials coordinator to ensure inventory accuracy and consolidation as required.

· Prepare and issue Work Orders to the Manufacturing floor. Organize and prioritize as needed to keep manufacturing running efficiently.

· Implement processes for signing in and signing out parts from inventory.

· Organize and perform inventory cycle counts as determined by Management and maintain accuracy of cycle count data and reporting, including checking receipts to verify accuracy of counts.

· Perform root cause analysis on inventory related issues, resolve inaccuracies and set processes in place to ensure inventory accuracy.

· Inventory management to minimize excess material and maximize order fulfillment.

· Perform inventory analysis to avoid parts shortages and notify buyers of potential issues.

Supply Chain:

· Analize open POs due dates and contact suppliers for updates.

· Participate in Supplier Quality initiatives to ensure health, responsiveness, and capability of supply chain.

· Contact suppliers in the event of “line down” situation to resolve the problem.

· Works with warehouse operations to ensure lean material flow.

· Proactively seeks out and champions opportunities for improvement and innovation within the supply chain and in the relationships between suppliers and other internal production.

POSITION SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

· 5+ years’ experience in progressive, production planning and materials management roles preferably in a manufacturing environment.

· Experience in utilizing ERP and MRP systems (INFOR preferred)

· Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.

· Supply chain experience “a plus.”

· Basic working knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) and revision controls.

· Well versed in Value Stream Mapping of supply chain operations with a focus on continuous improvement.

· Proficient in MS Office applications (especially Excel), MRP and ERP systems, and a working knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus.

· Working knowledge with Kaizen, 5S, Lean manufacturing.

· Works effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.

· Communicates effectively with others cross-functionally (verbal and written).

· Strong analytical skills with ability to problem solve and make decisions following company procedures.

· Safety Awareness: identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.

EDUCATION

· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience preferably in manufacturing production, planning, procurement/materials.
