Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development of requirements and specifications for electrical systems (for electronics and cables)
Work directly with Operations to improve processes, create/update work instructions, assembly drawings and travelers/routers
Design electronic circuits and PCB layout
Perform design, development, and validation of electrical parts and systems
Create/define test validation criteria for PCBs
Define and maintain product bill of materials (BOM)
Create 2D cable drawings and interconnects
Create manufacturing work instructions
Proactively engage in continuous improvement activities for design, manufacturing, and production
Identify and lead manufacturing process and design improvements
Maintain detailed change records via engineering change orders (ECOs)
Exemplify technical excellence and be accountable for your own work
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Knowledge of circuit design (USB, PCIe, and Power, preferred)
Knowledge and experience with electrical and electronic systems
Adept with MS Word, Excel (filters, formulas, short cuts etc.), and PowerPoint
Must be detail oriented
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong written and verbal communication with an emphasis on interpersonal and organizational skills
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of experience as an electrical engineer
