Job Description
CDL A drivers should have excellent knowledge of the operation as it relates to their truck, trailer, equipment, and cargo hauled. Additionally, drivers will need to be aware of and abide by traffic laws and the safety of all cargo loaded/hauled. The driver should be receptive to guidance as well as training and mentorship by the supervisor. Like supervisors, drivers shall be respectful of their supervisors and co-workers and will be required to show up on time and prepared to work.
In all tasks, the individual will be required to set safety as the priority and apply those principles personally and to their respective team members.
An individual should have the ability to operate a lowboy.
Individuals should be self-starters and have an excellent understanding of heavy equipment operations (i.e. construction equipment).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include, but are not limited to:
Lead by example
Enforce stop work authority
Safely work in all-weather environments
Enforce and abide by company safety policies and procedures at any given location
Follow federal, state, and local traffic laws
Perform your assigned tasks safely and efficiently
Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on daily basis
Understand the basics of equipment operation
Load and unload cargo efficiently and effectively
Complete company paperwork accurately and timely
Flexibility to work with other company divisions
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid CDL A
Three (3) years of previous CDL-A (Doubles & Triples Endorsement)/B driving experience
No major traffic violations within the last 5 years
Must pass pre-employment drug screening
This position requires overnight travel to Wyoming.
