Our client is a global manufacturing firm located in Atlanta that partners with their customers to provide differentiated paper and packaging solutions that help them win in the marketplace.

Our client is seeking a Project Manager, HR Services.

The opportunity:

The Project Manager will lead strategic and operational HR and Payroll-related projects to deliver value to the organization. The ideal candidate will excel at project planning and organization, project management and delivery. This position will manage the operational and detailed project activities across the project lifecycle and will partner closely with multiple project stakeholders to engage, gather input, and manage competing expectations and requirements. Project management may include any or all aspects of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing a project. Project management responsibilities will also include planning for and managing the readiness for the change and communications.

• Serve as the project manager for critical transformational efforts supporting the HR organization, to include timekeeping, payroll-related efforts and systems applications and advances.

• Partner with key stakeholders in the development of the project plan to include IT, HR Leadership team and site HR leaders, functional leads, and business leaders, as required.

• Identify and prioritize key milestones and supporting actions to support the project(s) underway; ensuring all project team members are aligned and aware of the critical steps and their part in achieving them.

• Coordinate, update, and socialize meetings on strategic initiatives with key stakeholder groups, including assistance with the development supporting materials (i.e., charter summary, project timelines, etc.), draft meeting minutes and summaries, and aggregation of status and in-flight materials from teams (i.e., existing project plans, draft documents, etc.)

• Facilitate the integration of prioritized action items and manage status updates as teams report on accomplishments towards defined goals

• Coordinate and update budget/forecast for project activities and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.

• Partner with appropriate representatives from across different teams and workstreams to define, track, and report on relevant goals across initiatives, including the development of workstream and status reporting dashboards for updates on key initiatives.

• Coordinate cross-functional support for workstreams as additional needs and/or issues arise while executing strategic initiative roadmaps

• Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts in the drafting of a standardized BIA template to consistently capture and document critical operational risks across the organization.

• ssist with the aggregation of existing (and in-flight) business activities, including documenting current state of plans across the business and working with project leadership to highlight any gaps

• Ensure appropriate stakeholders are engaged in the project(s) as needed, and the appropriate change management planning has taken place.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university

• 7+ years of experience in complex, larger scale project or program management

• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred

• Track record of success in planning, coordinating, implementing and delivering critical projects. Demonstrated proficiency in the application of project management tools, techniques, and principles.

• Strong communicator and collaborator, builds trust and credibility across the organization.

• Demonstrated skill set in conducting effective team meetings, gathering the right information, and driving alignment and clarity around key milestones and the desired outcome.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt, be flexible, and work in a cross-functional, matrix environment

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience using Project Management software, and Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and or similar collaboration platforms

• Knowledge of Human Capital Management systems and processes, and Time/Attendance systems are preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to influence and champion change - influencing skills and a background that includes success leading change in key HR operational processes.
