Position Summary & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for Academy and Instruction for STARBASE 2.0 Program. (Student grades 6-8)

Coordinates 2.0 curriculum and and/or preparing related materials.

Assists with the development and coordination of 2.0 site academy schedules.

Attends all 2.0 meeting sessions at cooperating schools, these meeting are held afterschool.

Maintains STARBASE 2.0 equipment, and supplies and ensures proper usage and storage.

Occasional overnight travel regarding national STARBASE meetings and training as required, using the most effective means of transportation available. State-wide travel as needed to participate in staff development, program development meetings, and school visits.

Maintains technology updates and implementation

Creates and implements 2.0 program marketing.

Manages relationships with 2.0 schools.

Recruits/screens and manages 2.0 program volunteers (STEM Coaches).

Coordinates and delivers 2.0 volunteer training.

Tracks all 2.0 STARBASE data and completes all required reports.

Supports and motivates 2.0 program volunteers. Responsible for Academy and Instruction for STARBASE 3.0 Program (Student grades 9-12)

Coordinates 3.0 curriculum and and/or preparing related materials.

Assists with the development and coordination of 3.0 site academy schedules.

Attends all 3.0 meeting sessions at cooperating schools/JROTC programs.

Maintains STARBASE 3.0 equipment, and supplies and ensures proper usage and storage.

Occasional overnight travel regarding national STARBASE meetings and training as required, using the most effective means of transportation available. State-wide travel as needed to participate in staff development, program development meetings, and school visits.

Tracks all 3.0 STARBASE data and completes all required reports. Public Information Development and Project Execution.

Assists the Site Director/Executive Director in implementing projects related to public information, fundraising, and other promotional activities.

Presents to educational, civic, legislative, or other organizations as assigned.

Assists the Site Director in planning and obtaining necessary equipment and supplies according to the 2.0 and 3.0 program needs and budget allowance.

Assists with Outreach and Supplemental programs.

Serves as an instructor for STARBASE 1.0 classes located at appointed site when needed. Qualifications

Education: Position Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University and three (3) years of experience in Education, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields and program management.

Licensing & Certification: Position requires a Current teaching license/certificate from the Kansas Department of Education as a condition of employment.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in teaching and program management.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Education, or STEM related field.

Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance as a condition of employment. Recruiter Contact Information
