As a CL Pricing Manager, you will play a crucial role in guiding our risk assessment, pricing strategies, and portfolio optimization efforts. How You'll Make an Impact
Support the overall management of pricing by completing projects, as assigned.
Ensures the production of statistical experience, including overall rate level indications and more granular experience studies as needed
Ensures the filing materials for filings, including explanation and justification for all proposed changes and other relevant exhibits needed by the various departments of insurance.
Manages resources as required to ensure operational objectives are met in support of the overall pricing strategy
Manages the responses to questions and objections raised by the various insurance departments in response to our filings.
Provide regular updates on projects and team performance to the Senior Pricing Manager
Training others on pricing and rate analysis as needed.
Leverage tools and resources to provide industry and peer analysis.
Proactively perpetuates the culture.
Effectively communicates strategy and priorities, sets expectations, holds team accountable, and gets results.
Coaches/develops/pushes team to get better.
Effectively evaluates performance of the team and individuals on the team.
Manages resources appropriately - staffing, workloads, budget. What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field and 4 years of related experience
Master's degree in Actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field and 2 years of related experience
Or 6 years of related experience
ACAS
Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills
Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies
Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Good understanding of Central Insurance's policies and processes
Preferred:
Commercial Lines experience
Experience with ISO rating
Strong academic and math background
Strong PC skills
Strong experience with SQL, Python, R, VBA and other programming languages
Database knowledge
