1st Shift APD Mechanical Assembler

Our client is looking for a 1st Shift APD Mechanical Assembler who will assist them at their location in Gahanna. In this role you will train in the Assembly of Metal products primarily for Airport Runway signage and lights.

Required:

-Previous knowledge, experience or interest in metal work/fabrication; assembly of products etc.

-Ability to learn Vinyl application and assembly of a variety of metal products.

-At main facility could learn also train on Finishing equipment such as a Fladder, Hand grinders, deburring equipment, etc.

-2-3 yrs. knowledge + experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.

-Ability to read and accurately interpret prints +/or schematics.

-Mechanically inclined: able to use a variety of power/air and hand tools including rivet gun.

-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with regularity. (average parts run 2-15 lbs.).

-Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull and push during course of an 8 hour shift.

-High attention to detail & fine tactical ability.

-Pallet jack experience

-Ability to take direction; work independently as well as a part of a team.

-Reliable/dependable attendance record.

-Contribute to team dynamics, offering solutions to move projects forward.

-Minimal computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).

-Organizational skills.

Preferred Experience:

-Ability to accurately identify various metals such as a variety of Steels, Aluminum, etc.

-Job Shop experience.

-Experience in application of the following: Silicone + Butyl Sealants and Gaskets
