Requirements:

Graphic Designers shall work with customers to define project scope and

requirements, clarify customer expectations, and provide advice on best processes and procedures foroptimal visual presentation. Accordingly, graphic designers must demonstrate excellent interpersonal

skills to effectively work and interact with customers, coworkers, and management.Visual products are designed for conveyance via mobile devices, web, and print, and will bekey contributions to communicating intelligence to inform senior policymakers and may be designed asstand?alone intelligence products.

Providing graphic design support are responsible for a wide range of routine tocomplex projects such as: charts and graphs, flow diagrams, infographics, presentation visuals,illustrations, publication design, cover designs, brochures, posters, and logos, and will support a varietyof related tasks including: producing and publishing these products, including creating, editing, andprocessing text and graphics for hardcopy and electronic publication. Additionally, graphic designers must work within production schedules and coordinate with all parties involved (e.g., authors,other employee or contract graphic designers, cartographers, and interactive designers), to produce,deliver, and archive finished visual intelligence publications.

Contract graphic designers shall collaborate and coordinate with FBI's Print Shop and otherstakeholders as needed Requirements for Contract Graphic Designers

Contract graphic designers are expected to develop and maintain their skills commensuratewith industry?wide best practices. At a minimum, contract graphic designers must meet the followingrequirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in one of the followingfields, or a related area of study: Graphic Design, or Communications or Fine Arts, with a strongemphasis in graphic design.

• Ability to shape and lead solutions to data visualization in an increasingly complex andchanging technological environment.

• At least two years of experience with the Adobe Creative suite tools, such as InDesign,Illustrator, Photoshop.

• Strong creative portfolio demonstrating good use of typography, grid?based design, whitespace, and color theory.Knowledge of production tools and methodology, and a strong technical aptitude to quicklylearn new software and hardware.

• Strong editorial and grammar skills, demonstrated by at least one year of experience incopyediting, print?publishing, or other formalized writing?heavy responsibilities.

• Knowledge of publishing principles, basics of publication design, and productionmethodology for publishing products in hardcopy or electronic formats, demonstrated by atleast one year of publishing experience.

• Familiarity with Web content management demonstrated by one year of experience working

with Microsoft SharePoint.
