Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a Research Program Manager to join our Research department. This position is a full-time opportunity based out of our regional office located in Rockville, Maryland with a hybrid work model.

Reporting to a Director of Research Programs, the Research Program Manager will support the American College of Surgeons (ACS) National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) and Commission on Cancer (CoC) program. You will be responsible for leading, facilitating, and administratively supporting the activities, goals, and initiatives of the NSQIP and CoC programs.
You can expect to :
Participate in various quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, including the administrative support, program planning, and improvement needs of the NSQIP and CoC programs
Supervise and provide guidance and mentorship support to direct reports
Leads the preparation and continuing review process of documentation submitted to the Institution Review Board (IRB) for multiple programs and studies
Assists with identifying and developing study populations, and collects, records, and compiles date for research studies and manuscript preparation
Support the development of outcomes and process measures, including technical specifications, to enable population measurement, guideline implementation, and evaluation
Partners with programs’ participants, internal, and external stakeholders to communicate program status reports and utilizes problem-solving skills to resolve stakeholders concerns and needs What is required:
Bachelor’s Degree in public health, hospital/healthcare administration or a related degree required; Masters in Healthcare Administration and Public Health is preferred
Must have demonstrable experience in documenting business processes and requirements, regulatory environment, work planning, and understanding of program lifecycle management
Must have supervisory experience
Must be familiar with surgery and oncology practices and procedures
Ability to interact effectively with a variety of people at a variety of levels including physicians and physician leaders
Ability to manage multiple programs and competing priorities
Ability to work independently as well as leading program teams
The ability to commute to Rockville, MD one day per week.
Candidates must either currently live in or be willing to relocate to the Washington D.C. metropolitan area
