JOB TITLE: Concessions Ball Field (Seasonal)

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Program and Facilities

SUPERVISOR: Concessions Manager

SALARY: $13.00 to $15.00 per Hour

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

To provide excellent customer service to patrons. Applicant must have a sound work ethic and be diligent in facility upkeep practices.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Excellent customer service

Concessions and food handling

Follow proper sanitation guidelines during food preparation and food serving

Acquaint customers with prices and food options

Ascertain necessary materials are available before each shift prior to opening to the public

Process cash payments and tender change, along with ensuring that all received cash is well-accounted for and stored in a safe area

Participate in the set-up of food area, arrange inventory of supplies, and communicate shortages of deficiencies to management.

Perform clean-up duties after each shift and ensure that food area is sanitized and tidied up for the next day

Handle light bookkeeping duties by creating and maintaining reports of cash received against food and beverage items sold SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Customer service

General money handling and cash register operations experience

Custodial operations

General office equipment

English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation

Work independently with minimal supervision

Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing

Adapt to changing work conditions

Respond to requests and inquiries from the public

Understand and carry out oral and written directions

Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Required:

Preferred experience in a related facility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing. The employee is also required to maintain physical condition necessary for operating assigned equipment, walking, standing, kneeling, repeated bending or sitting for prolonged periods of time and lifting to 50 pounds. Maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of making sound decisions demonstrating intellectual capabilities.

Working Environment:

Both indoor and outdoor environments, and cold working conditions. Irregular work hours, including nights and weekends.
