Apogee is seeking a Business Development, Staff Principal located in either San Antonio, TX; Colorado Springs, CO; or Washington DC in support of Cyberspace Domain Training activities, especially focused on Department of Defense (DoD) customers.

What you will be doing:

Create Apogee’s Cyber Training growth strategy, including multi-year business development approach, identification of target customer organizations, and stakeholder engagement plans

Develop and maturing the Apogee Cyber Training new business pipeline to align with annual BD team throughput and growth goals, including opportunity identification, qualification, shaping, strategy, and positioning activities leading to the successful pursuit and capture of multiple opportunities

Grow the opportunity pipeline, to include existing as well as adjacent markets/customers, through diligent and timely identification/qualification of new business opportunities by leveraging current technologies, customer intimacies, and teaming collaboration

Direct and support new business development opportunities to improve the company's business portfolio including marketing and customer call plans

Conduct customer visits and perform research to understand current and emerging customer needs and requirements

Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships and assess competitor capabilities aligned to specific customers in DoD cyber community

Interface with industry peers and evaluate/recommend teaming arrangements

Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential targeted pursuits, and develop marketing strategies

Participate in bid decisions, development of cost strategies, and gate reviews

Work collaboratively with operations, infrastructure development, and Science and Technology (S&T) teams to identify opportunities for technological innovation

Partner with technical writers to draft responses to customers, such as capabilities statements, white papers, and Requests for Information (RFIs)

Develop the value proposition and win strategy and shape it to the customer's needs What you will need to have:

Security Clearance Required: Top Secret (TS) clearance and eligibility to obtain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Bachelor’s degree in either business related field or technical field

At least twelve (12) years of experience supporting DoD Cyberspace career fields as military, government civilian, or contractor; more than 20 years (preferred)

At least three (3) years of recent experience working within DoD cyber-focused organization, such as US Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) or 16th Air Force (Air Forces Cyber)

At least three (3) years of experience supporting DoD cyber training with an understanding of curriculum development, instructional methodologies, and relevant technologies

Strong relationships across relevant acquisition, training, and operational organizations are highly desired, including, but not limited to:

Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N)

Air Education and Training Command (AETC)

United States Space Force (USSF) and United States Space Command (USSPACECOM)

USCYBERCOM and subordinate commands

Ability to identify, establish, and use important customer relationships with senior-level officials and program stakeholders within DoD cyber programs

Compensation & Benefits:

Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HSA and HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part-time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.

This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

The base pay for this position ranges from $131,745 to $219,576 across the U.S. There is a different range applicable for specific work locations. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training, and education.
