The Creative Designer II position exists to support the in-house creative team at Focus on the Family. Creative Designer II will carry brand-aligned design work from concept to final delivery in collaboration with creative teammates. As the in-house creative team operates cross-departmentally, this position can interact directly with clients with grace, humility, and timeliness. Also, successfully prioritize projects (and adjust those priorities) to align with shifting organizational initiatives. This role has minimal oversight and requires strong organization, communication, and creative skills.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Collaboratively ideates concepts for new projects

Partners with Design Manager in project discovery, kick-off, and review meetings

Collaborates with teammates to carry deliverables from concept to final with minimal oversight

Revises design work when reviews come back

Packages and uploads completed projects for final delivery

Sets and adjusts priorities to align with organizational initiatives

Assists in the completion of creative briefs for incoming projects to guide work and reviews

Tracks time and posts work for review

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

Participates in creative activities and ideation

Reviews and provides feedback on the work of creative teammates

Assists in overall department initiatives such as integration, annual departmental planning, creative training, branding exercises, research, etc.

Performs other duties, including but not limited to duties as assigned, some of which may include the development and creation of a variety of copyrightable works (e.g., print, photography, voice work, film, music, visual arts, etc.) for distribution in any and all media and formats (such as television, radio, internet, wireless, DVD, satellite and digital) on a world-wide basis, all of which shall be for the benefit of Focus on the Family

Fast-paced office environment with shifting priorities

Physical presence at the Colorado Springs campus

Balances the tension of managing legacy initiatives, then switching gears to support new initiatives with very tight deadlines

Knowledge/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Communications-related major or equivalent experience

3-5 years of graphic design and production art experience

A strong portfolio demonstrating design skills across print, digital, and social

Fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud software

Stewardship Requirements:

Salary Range: $58,236 to $67,077/Yr.
