Full-time Package Handler- Stevens Point, WI

Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a self-motivated and independent worker who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Package Handler you would unload freight from fleet vehicles, accurately sort freight, and load freight in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

Hours and Wages:

Shift Option:

Monday - Friday, 5:00PM start time

10-15 hours of overtime expected each week

Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week

Starting wage: $18.00-$19.50 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential

Duties and Responsibilities:

Unloads each package by hand from fleet vehicles

Scans package barcode labels as unloaded for tracking purposes

Sorts each package by zip code, city, or state

Stacks freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently

Washes fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed

Performs light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment

Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age

Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift

Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight in the warehouse that can weigh up to 100 lbs.

Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently

Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
